Beachside tents, cabins and rooms on the shores of Playa Estrella
Babsita's Tours
We offer a variety of tours and activities from the campsite. Our guided stand-up paddleboard tour takes you along Rio Estrella, through lush mangroves, swimming spots, and tranquil wildlife stops.
You can also explore the river by boat, with our night tour famous for cayman and crocodile sightings! We also offer cacao and fruit/veg tours at a local finca and you can experience our coconut oil workshop to learn how locals use cocos as a vital food source.
Discover Babsita
Wake up to the sound of the ocean, monkeys and tropical birds. Spot sloths lounging in our trees and explore the palm-lined shore and rich biodiversity of the surrounding jungle and river.
Campsite Babsita is also the perfect base for exploring the beauty, nature and cultural richness of Playa Estrella, Cahuita, Puerto Viejo and the Limon Province.
Limón Province
The Limón Province runs along the country's eastern coast, bordering the Caribbean Sea. It extends from the northern border with Nicaragua down to the southern border with Panama. To the west, it is bounded by the provinces of Heredia, Cartago, and Puntarenas.
The province is home to Tortuguero National Park, known for its canals and sea turtle nesting and also the lively town of Puerto Viejo, known for its reggae music and colourful markets. Activities include exploring Cahuita National Park, zip-lining, and wildlife tours.
I had a really great stay here. Great location and extremely friendly staff. In addition, interesting tours are offered, including a night tour where we saw a Cayman baby. Great recommendation!

What our guests say
Certainly one of the best campsites in all of Costa Rica (and we have camped in some places) Babsita is just incredibly nice and has put a lot of effort into the space!
Come all over, such people who make so much effort to create a great place must be supported!
PS: If you don't like camping, use the house that Babsita also rents in the same place!

One of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica! A hidden paradise. Barbara and all employees give everything to make the stay unique. Good food, good mood, wonderful excursions and simply pura vida. We will be back for sure.
